Millions of people suffer from burn injuries every year. In the United States, approximately 3 million burn injuries are reported year. A great percentage of these burn injuries affect at least 25% of a victim’s body. Many fatalities are also reported every year due to burn injuries. Burn injuries are only second to motor vehicle accidents as causes of death in many countries.
