If people whose primary language is not English are injured or die using hazardous products, will they or their families have product liability causes of action based on missing foreign-language warnings? Donna Peavler of Uloth & Peavler writes that the question is far from settled and there are few court decisions or statutes to provide guidance. The issue is likely to become more prominent as the number of people who are not native English speakers increases in the United States, Peavler says.
