After a 17-year hiatus, employment litigator John F. Wymer III has returned to Paul Hastings. He joined the firm as a partner last week from King & Spalding, where he had practiced since 2000. Paul Hastings’ Atlanta managing partner, Philip J. Marzetti, said the firm had been trying to persuade Wymer to return for at least three years. Wymer said he finally decided to return in part due to Paul Hastings’ “magnificent footprint” — especially in California, where employment trends generally originate.
