Silicon Valley veteran Mary Doyle came to Palm Inc. during a time when competitor RIM was locking horns with NTP in what would later culminate in a landmark $612 million patent settlement. Seeing increased risk for technology companies, Doyle led the way for a patent strategy that is still in place at Palm. Law.com recently caught up with Doyle to talk about Palm’s legal department and her views on key patent issues faced by technology companies today.
