David A. Finnerty, a former New York Stock Exchange specialist who once oversaw all trading in General Electric Co. stock, was convicted Thursday of securities fraud, making him the third specialist to be convicted at trial among 15 arrested in the case. But U.S. District Judge Denny Chin immediately expressed doubts about the evidence used to convict Finnerty. Chin said he was unlikely to grant a motion to set aside the verdict, but he said several issues were worth considering before he rules.
