and two other media companies have prevailed in efforts to unseal court documents in the Mercury Interactive stock options backdating case. Santa Clara County, Calif., Judge James Kleinberg granted the motion last week, but stayed the order until Feb. 8 pending any appeal. Kleinberg rejected an argument that there was an overriding interest to avoid embarrassing former executives, writing, in part, “The personal finances of the rich and famous are not worthy of sealing.”
