Diagnostic imaging company MRI Associates of America has filed a class action suit in Florida’s Palm Beach Circuit Court against Progressive American Insurance, alleging the auto insurer systematically underpaid medical providers in violation of the state Personal Injury Protection law. The suit alleges that 11 Progressive-affiliated companies incorrectly applied Consumer Price Index changes. An attorney for MRI Associates said that a similar suit is pending against United Auto Insurance.
