Nonprofit Litigates Largest Employment Discrimination Class Action Ever to Go to Trial

This month, the 9th Circuit upheld a lower court decision making a suit against Wal-Mart the largest employment discrimination class action to go to trial. The Impact Fund, the nonprofit behind the suit, provides funding, training and advice to lawyers who want to bring public interest impact lawsuits in civil rights, poverty and environmental justice. With just three attorneys, the organization is currently involved in litigating six cases, including a gender discrimination class action against Costco.
