The lawyer for the families of two students killed in a 2001 crash argued before the Mississippi Supreme Court this week that in the late stages of a wrongful-death trial Ford Motor Co. dumped thousands of documents on her, some of which might have helped her win the case. Ford is seeking to reinstate a 2003 jury’s decision that the company wasn’t liable for the students’ deaths. A judge ordered a new trial after the plaintiffs lawyer alleged Ford and its attorneys routinely concealed evidence.
